Joy and I have been married 16 years now but we have been a couple for over 21 years. Joy is the mother of seven and the grandmother of 14, 15, 16 - lost count. OH, that makes me father of seven and Grandpa of 14,15,16 or what ever the number is. Joy enjoys cooking a great deal and spends her spare time baking fancy cookies for the holidays. Joy also does cake decorating, dress making and arts and crafts when she has the time. She enjoys working in the home more than anything else. Today she zips around the mountain in her 4 x 4 Ford Escape and visits every craft fair she can in the mountains. She volunteers at the nursing home every Friday and volunteers for duty in the Murphy Hospital gift shop. She is also head of the ladies ministry at the House of Prayer - she loves being retired!
I work part time with The Highland Realty Group helping out around the office and doing some of their web work. I am partners with Newell and Deena Collins on a 50 acre subdivision out in Ranger. We have some land development work to finish up and of course need a good market to move our lots to end users.
We are truly blessed to be living in such a wonderful new place during this time of our life. We have made many new friends and discovered a new way of life in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We are both busy doing what we like to do best and enjoy our time together more than ever. There is JOY on the mountains and Joy's car tag says it all "NCJOYFULL" "God is good - all the time."
